I can't come into work because. . .I've been abducted by space monkeys.
That's right, space monkeys. Apparently there's a plague of them around at the moment - did you not read Metro yesterday, it was all in there? They've taken me to their secret cave. It's so secret I can't tell you where it is but I can tell you it's decorated in a tasteful purple colour. Apparently that won't help you discover it.
No, I won't be able to come in, because, as I said, I'm in this cave.
Can I come in tomorrow? The monkeys aren't sure. I'll have to call you later and let you know.
